How to test a tour route

Start at the normal meeting point and use mobile data if that is what the guide will use.
Keep the page open while walking the real route, including indoor transitions, narrow streets, and known weak areas.
Review successful requests, timeouts, response timing, consecutive failures, and browser sampling gaps.
Run a real live-audio field tour with several representative listener phones before launch.

What the result means

A strong screening result supports moving to a real field trial. A caution or poor result means the route needs more testing or another delivery system such as local Wi-Fi or dedicated radio receivers. The tool deliberately fails closed when the run is too short.

The result is not an audio certification. It does not measure cellular signal strength, bandwidth, live audio latency, background playback, or every guest network.

Privacy and transparent methodology

Detailed probe timings remain in the browser. The test does not request or upload location. Every four seconds it makes a small uncached request to the LiveTourAudio API. Normal security logs and aggregate website analytics still apply.

Browser online status is recorded only as a hint because it cannot prove that a specific service is reachable. Optional effective-connection information is context only and is not treated as cellular signal strength.
